Terms & Conditions
1. Lessons & Tuition
Lessons are delivered in the family home at an agreed time and location. Tuition is provided on a one-to-one basis unless otherwise arranged. Lesson length, frequency, and content are agreed in advance and tailored to the student’s needs.
2. Fees & Payment
Fees are agreed before lessons begin and are payable in advance, either per lesson or per term, as outlined in your booking confirmation. Payments must be made on time to secure lesson slots. Late or missed payments may result in lessons being paused until payment is received.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are chargeable in full.
If the tutor needs to cancel due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, the lesson will be rescheduled or credited.
4. Attendance & Punctuality
Please ensure the student is ready at the scheduled lesson time. Lessons will finish at the agreed time regardless of late starts, to ensure fairness to other families.
5. Practice & Progress
Progress depends on regular attendance and appropriate practice between lessons. While guidance and support are always provided, results cannot be guaranteed without consistent engagement from the student.
6. Instruments & Equipment
Families are responsible for providing a suitable instrument and basic equipment unless otherwise agreed. The tutor will advise on appropriate instruments where needed.
7. Safeguarding & Conduct
All lessons are delivered in a professional, respectful, and supportive manner. A parent or responsible adult must be present in the home during lessons for younger students. Any inappropriate behaviour may result in lessons being terminated.
8. Health & Safety
Families are responsible for providing a safe and suitable space for lessons. Please inform the tutor in advance of any relevant medical, learning, or behavioural needs so lessons can be adapted appropriately.
9. Termination of Tuition
Either party may end tuition with reasonable notice. Any prepaid lessons not yet delivered will be refunded or credited, in line with the cancellation policy.
10. Photography, Video & Recordings
No recordings or images of lessons will be taken without prior consent. Families may not record lessons without the tutor’s permission.
11. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be communicated clearly in advance.
